Sonata On Stage: Shrek Jr. 2026

Sonata on Stage is excited to kick off its second season with the fun and colourful, family-friendly show, Shrek Jr.!

About Shrek Jr.

Shrek Jr. is a hilarious and heartwarming tale where beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film and hit Broadway musical, this irreverent fairy tale follows Shrek, a lovable ogre who sets out with his wisecracking sidekick Donkey to rescue Princess Fiona and reclaim his swamp from the tiny tyrant, Lord Farquaad.

Along the way, they encounter a zany cast of fairytale misfits and discover that friendship, love, and acceptance can be found in the most unexpected places.

Packed with outrageous characters, big laughs, and a message that resonates with all ages, Shrek Jr. offers abundant opportunities for imaginative sets, bold costumes, and scene-stealing roles—making it a perfect adventure for a large, diverse cast.
